‘Big Brother Canada’: More from host Arisa Cox (and a ‘Big Brother 15’ update)
We’ve been waiting for quite a long time to witness the launch of “Big Brother Canada,” but the show’s big debut is finally only nine days away. The houseguest list is already set for the new season, and now all there is left to do is wait for the official announcement, start hyping up the players, and sit back and enjoy what will hopefully be a fantastic edition of the show north of the border.
Not only will there be a brand-new set and style to the Canadian show, but there is also a new host in Arisa Cox who admires Julie Chen, but is also trying to differentiate herself from the popular emcee of “The Talk” when it comes to her style. In an interview (which you can see more of at the show’s official site), Cox elaborated on this by saying the following:
“I get [Julie’s hosting style] coming from a news perspective … I totally understand that instinct as to act like there is a wall between you and the people who are on the show. I, however, have a different take on it. I really want to get in there. I really want the houseguests to look at me and [see] me as someone they can talk to, a girlfriend on the couch. I want to know the nitty-gritty, if there’s a showmance, I want details, honey … We’re going to get to know each other because we’re going to be able to watch their every move.”
What are we going to be doing in order to celebrate “Big Brother Canada”? We can’t disclose all of the details of our coverage yet, but we will be having some big stuff coming up over the next two weeks leading to the show’s launch. If you want to see some more from the show, check out the latest promo over at the link here.
Also, we want to point out to everyone in America (thanks to a tweet from Dan Gheesling) that “Big Brother 15” officially kicks off casting today. Want to know more? Then follow the account of casting director Robyn Kass.
