‘Dancing with the Stars’ rumors: Did Piers Morgan turn down gig?
Well, you can officially add Piers Morgan to the list of people who are not going to be “Dancing with the Stars” this season … at least according to one of the show’s own judges.
In a new post on his Twitter account, Bruno Tonioli, who was actually featured in a recent episode of the British interview show “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories,” shared the following message about the former “America’s Got Talent” judge and CNN host that everyone could have really seen coming from about a mile away:
“@piersmorgan turned down DWTS shame he would have made John Sargent look like Fred Astaire”
Ultimately, it’s hard to say just how serious that Bruno is really being here, but we understand fully why Piers would have no interest in taking this on. He already has one ridiculous reality show under his belt in “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and the reason he left the NBC talent competition was to have the time necessary to focus on his CNN program. Compared to the “America’s Got Talent” schedule, doing “Dancing with the Stars” is like taking part in a triathlon. One of the primary reasons why so many bigger stars are turning down the show these days (including Lindsay Lohan, Lance Armstrong, and even Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June) is because of the fact that you have to work rehearse for pretty much 40 hours a week to even keep up with the competition … and that is without even pushing yourself to be a favorite.
The cast for “Dancing with the Stars 16” will be unveiled a week from Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” and thus far there is not one conifrmed name out there to be taking part.
