‘Supernatural’ season 8, episode 15 preview: Jensen Ackles’ facial expression wins
While we don’t know just yet as to whether or not Wednesday night’s “Supernatural” season 8 episode “Man’s Best Friend with Benefits” is going to be the best of the year so far we can at least say this with some confidence: this may be one of the best preview clips the show has ever given us.
The premise of this is simple but perfectly effective: Sam opens the door after hearing the sound of a dog to find a doberman sitting on the welcome mat, and he brings the dog insider on order to try and look for her owner. As soon as he realizes that there are no tags on her collar, Dean shows up, and Sam quickly meets him outside and tries to explain away what he is about to see.
We don’t want to spoil exactly what line Dean uses upon opening the door and seeing a woman rather than a dog lying on the bed, but Jensen Ackles’ facial expression here alone is worth the price of admission. Even though these characters have matured over the years, there are times that we are reminded that this is the same ol’ Dean … and this is one of them.
As for the actual story of this episode, we know that the owner / lover of this dog / woman (strange as that sounds) is going to play a role at some point. We’re not entirely sure at the moment just how great of an impact this will have on the overall story of the show, but to be honest we don’t really even care at the moment, at least so long as it stays this funny.
What do you think about this preview? If you want to see another clip from this episode that gives you a more general look at the story, you can find it over at the link here.

Jared is awesome in this clip, so funny and cute.
I imagine Sam is just trying to prempt the inevitable Dean bitching.
Cant wait to see Sam’s reaction when he turns around, not looking forward to Dean’s lame dog related one liners.

Obviously, she’s being used by her owner to exact some sort of revenge, because he might know she’s a skinwalker. I mean why else would she seek out two hunters who want to kill her kind? I also think she might know Lucky from “All Dogs go to Heaven”, so she could want to exact a little revenge for hurting his feelings and costing him a home. Either way, she needs their help, and Lucky could’ve let her in on them as a secret. But we’ll have to find out on Wednesday.

Sam remembers Dean’s motto “You don’t take grass from a guy called Don and no dogs in the Impala.” That goes for motel rooms too.

Totally looking forward to this one (heck we look forward to all of them) but the humor in this clip is really promising a special episode. Kind of funny that at almost 30 Sam is still afraid of his brother’s reaction to him letting a dog in the room.
