‘The Good Wife’ season 4 spoilers: A look ahead at Carrie Preston’s return
Remember that wonderful show called “The Good Wife”? For the first three seasons, critics were lauding it as the best drama on network TV. Then, that terrible misstep known as Kalinda and Nick happened, and so many of us were writing full-fledged diatribes about how it is sometimes better to be left in the dark than taken down an unfortunately road that makes us dislike a character we once were fascinated by.
Luckily, Nick is gone now, and the second half of this show is turning out to be just as great (if not even at times better) than the first three seasons. On Sunday night’s new episode, we are going to be seeing a celebratory Alicia after being named a partner at Lockhart Gardner, only to see it come (rather predictably) crashing down all over her.
Be sure to check out the official synopsis for this episode by looking below:
“Office politics come to a head when Will and Diane ask Alicia and Cary to face off against them in a mock trial, only to get more than they bargained for. Meanwhile, Eli tries to avoid losing his role in Peter’s campaign to Jordan, as he continues his fight with the Justice Department.”
This episode is going to feature the return of Carrie Preston as a guest star, and we will also continue to see T.R. Knight alongside Kyle MacLachlan and Raphael Sbarge. In other words, this show probably has one of the best recurring and guest casts in the business.
Just in case you did not hear the news (which is understandable considering the craziness that is the February sweeps), Josh Charles has inked a new deal to stay on board the show! You can find out more about this very thing by heading on over to the link here.

I would still like closure on the Nick/Kalinda thing. I hope they revisit that this season… just sayin’.
