‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Scoop on Candice Accola, Joseph Morgan

If you are a major fan of the Klaus / Caroline pairing on “The Vampire Diaries,” there’s no questioning that you are a very patient person. The two have been buzzing about for over a year now as a possible romance, but only occasionally (such as the Miss Mystic Falls pageant) have their been indications that there really could be something there. Unfortunately, those moments are traditionally canceled out when Klaus goes and does something like killing much of Tyler’s family and then scaring him out of town.

So is there still strangely a chance that these two characters could really end up together? The answer to this question may surprise you. Speaking in a new interview with E! News, Joseph Morgan had the following to say about something important coming up for character (we’re hearing a few episodes down the road), which could very well involve Candice Accola’s own vampire in some shape or form:

“He hasn’t really ever kissed anyone! I mean in the form of Tyler her has, but I think he’s finally going to get some action. It’s going to be interesting. Also, I’ve gotten away with a year and half of keeping my clothes on, on the CW, which I think must be a record! They probably thought, ‘Hang on a minute, he’s getting that spin off,’ so I’ve spending a lot of time in the gym.”

If Klaus and Caroline do ever hook up, that would complicate things for the spin-off in a pretty key way since Caroline is likely still needed in Mystic Falls. Luckily, this is why crossovers exist! The two shows will both be shot in Atlanta, which makes it easy for the actors to flip over from one show to the next without much warning.
