‘House of Lies’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Matt Damon bashes George Clooney
After a week off due to Super Bowl Sunday, “House of Lies” is going to be back with a new episode on Showtime tonight; and based on the notable guest star stopping by, we have a feeling that there is going to be more than one reason to laugh.
Yes, Matt Damon will be coming on the show to play Matt Damon … but it is not the same version of the actor that you see at the red carpet of awards shows. This is more of the Matt Damon who recently guest-hosted “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this year: a self-entitled egomaniac who wants everyone to realize that he is one of the greatest actors of all time, and that everyone bends to his will.
There are three things that we really learn about Damon through watching the clip below:
1. He really, really loves Marty’s watch.
2. On a related note, he loves getting free swag just about everywhere that he goes.
3. He really, really hates another one of his “Ocean’s Thirteen” guest stars in George Clooney, mostly because he can win an Oscar for “putting on a Hawaiian shirt” just because he spends so much time away from the screen talking about Darfur.
At the end of the day, Marty’s going to have his work cut out for him trying to take care of this client.
If you’re wondering how “House of Lies” landed Damon in the first place, you can probably thank Don Cheadle for it. The two worked together both on “Ocean’s Thirteen” and a Showtime documentary, and they happen to be close in real life, as well.
Are you excited to see this episode more so than any other? If you want to watch another clip featuring Damon, you can do so over at the link here.

Loved this episode. Reallly enjoyed the humor and comraderie that was evident in the fine acting between the two great actors.
