‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: When will Sheldon’s assistant return?

Are you ready to see some another familiar face return to “The Big Bang Theory” season 6? If the answer to this question is “yes,” then the photo to the left should make you smile.

Thursday night’s Valentine’s Day episode is going to be doing much more than just introduce us to a potential love interest for Raj in Lucy (played by Kate Micucci); it is also going to feature yet again Margo Harshman as Sheldon’s assistant Alex. We’re not entirely sure just what is going on in the phot here, though it looks almost as though Sheldon is either a map of Middle-Earth, or trying to convince Alex that he is doing something serious when he is in fact doing something trivial.

If we are being completely frank here, we must admit that we’re still a little confused as to what Alex’s role on the show is going to be moving forward. Her accusations of sexual harassment against Sheldon were justified earlier this year, but they almost came out of left field for a character who had previously seemed willing to follow him every whim like he was a golden god. Plus, Leonard has now made his intentions with Penny rather clear, and the theory that she was going to eventually become a Raj love interest seems just about dashed. Hopefully, the writers are finding a way to keep Margo Harshman around with some good material, just so if nothing else she can find a new pilot that is much more commercially-successful than the short-lived but rather funny “Bent.”
