‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ preview: A Christmas miracle?

It may not be Christmas anymore (and it’s not coming up for another ten months), but the folks over at “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” are getting set to feature their celebration on TLC. On Sunday night’s new episode, we are going to see just what happens when the Shannon – Thompson clan decides to ring in the holiday, and it apparently includes young Alana trying to learn how to ice skate.

You can check out the video of Honey Boo Boo’s latest antics below, and it is actually surprisingly tame compared to some of what we have seen from here in the past. As a matter of fact, the one thing that will likely stick with us the longest from this is a rather gross comment courtesy of Mama June, which reminds us that there are some things that never need to be shared … especially on camera.

In some ways, the “Honey Boo Boo” craze already seems to be losing some of its steam. You don’t hear the former “Toddlers & Tiaras” star’s name mentioned as much in pop-culture circles, and as she gets older and some of the initial appeal of the show starts to fade, it is going to become harder for these characters (like all reality TV stars) to ultimately stay relevant. You can criticize if you want that TLC is not about “learning” anymore, but it’s hard to argue against the fact that this show has brought more attention to the network than probably any other ever since “Jon and Kate Plus 8.”
