‘The Good Wife’ season 4 spoilers: John Noble books first post-‘Fringe’ appearance
The folks over at “The Good Wife” must be feeling rather satisfied with themselves at the moment; after all, they just managed to snag one of the hottest free-agent actors out there for a guest spot later on during season 4: John Noble, who is coming off what may be his strongest season of “Fringe” yet.
Speaking to TV Guide Canada, it was series star Julianna Margulies who first revealed the news by sharing the following message, and offering up plenty of praise for a man who has been continually ignored for Emmy consideration for far too long:
“He’s a very interesting character who is sort of a brilliant techie guy that constantly sues people. He just elevated the part to such a different level, it was remarkable to work with him and just a pleasure to have on set.
“On the page, I thought, ‘Is this going to make sense?’ and he filled it with such incredible talent. I can’t even tell you. I looked at him and I went, ‘I didn’t even know that was the character. I’m so blown away.’”
Noble is just the latest in an extremely long line of fantastic guest stars that have graced the show over the past few years, which includes the likes of Nathan Lane, Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Perry, Lisa Edelstein, Maura Tierney, Michael J. Fox, and T.R. Knight. As for why he is gracing this show now, it’s pretty simple: being on this show enables Noble to get back into acting almost immediately after playing Walter Bishop for five years, which further helps to ensure that he is not just stuck in that role for the rest of his life.
“The Good Wife” could certainly use this boost at the moment, especially after the show’s ratings managed to hit an all-time low last month.
