‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: What happens when Brennan gets shot?

Next Monday night’s episode of “Bones” season 8 is a big one for the series and one that has been highly anticipated by fans everywhere.

Brennan will be facing death when an intruder enters the Jeffersonian lab and shoots her, leaving her for dead on the floor. Although Booth shows up in time to get her to the hospital, Brennan finds herself not only seeing ghosts, but also questioning everything she thought she knew about science and religion.

In a new promo released by Fox for next week’s new episode of “Bones” season 8 called “The Shot in the Dark” we see Brennan struggling in her own mind after being shot as she comes face to face with her dead mother.  Seeing her mom will send Brennan into a tail spin as she tries to deny what she’s seeing and feeling and holds strong to her beliefs that God does not exist and that there is no afterlife.

In a recent episode we have seen Brennan and Booth both struggle with death as they talked about their Last Will and Testament, what they want for their funerals and how they want to be remembered by their daughter Christine.  Will all that change after Brennan gets shot?  How will Booth react to possibly losing the love of his life and the mother of his child?  Check out the promo for next week’s episode of “Bones” season 8 and let us know if you think that Brennan will change her views on God after this experience.  If you missed last night’s episode and you want to catch up on what happened, then be sure to read out review of the episode here.
