‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ review: Camille Grammer enters the fray
For a few moments on Monday night’s new “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” episode, there were moments where we almost flashed back and though that it was season 1 again. After all, Camille Grammer was not only back, but she was in the thick of things again with some of the other women.
This blow-up fight in Las Vegas was really several weeks coming, and on some level Kim Richards has to be rather grateful that she got a nose job rather than going (even though this act alone makes us worry about her, given her lengthy history with addiction). There is really no reason for most of this fighting to still be going on! We have Brandi Glanville and Lisa VanderPump on one side trashing Adrienne Maloof’s shoes, and we have Adrienne and more or less Kyle Richards on the other. In the midst of fighting about alleged meetings and nasty comments that went back and forth dating back to last year, Camille managed somehow to make a very big deal out of the fact that Adrienne owned only 2% of The Palms, and somehow compared this to the 51% that Lisa owns of SUR.
At this point, we really don’t want to side with either one of these groups since this entire argument is dragging most of the show down. Heck, we much preferred the hilariously awkward pole-dancing during the earlier part of the episode. Drama is great on this show when it is temporary; watching more or more people get involved in a petty back and forth over product lines, comments, and hearsay is a sure for insomnia.
Let’s just hope that there are some more reasons to laugh rather than reasons to roll our eyes moving forward.
