‘True Blood’ season 6: Joe Manganiello to find time for ‘Talking Dead’
Even though Joe Manganiello may be a very busy man at the moment courtesy of filming for “True Blood” season 6, there is some very good news coming out right now when it comes to the actor: he is going to be making an appearance soon on a popular AMC aftershow.
In a recent post on his Twitter account, Manganiello proclaimed that he will be stopping by “Talking Dead” following an upcoming episode of “The Walking Dead” season 3 (which returns with new episodes on Sunday). Sadly, he has yet to announce just what episode it will be on, possibly because it could depend on his filming schedule.
Manganiello is a well-known fan of genre work; though then again, who is not a fan of “The Walking Dead” right now? It is the highest-rated drama on TV in the 18-49 demographic, and not even some creative issues behind the scenes have really slowed down the level of hype for the midseason premiere.
As for what is coming up for Manganiello’s Alcide on “True Blood” this summer, all we can say is that we are going to see a good bit more of his dad, as Robert Patrick has been promoted to a series regular. With all of this in mind, be prepared to witness a good many struggles as the character tries to adjust to being the head of a pack for the first time … especially since it is a role that he previously wanted no part of.
Are you excited to see Joe talk zombies and all things “Walking Dead”? If you want to read some more scoop about what is coming up on “True Blood” this coming season, be sure to check out some thoughts from Kristin Bauer van Straten over at the link here.
