‘Breaking Bad’ season 5 spoilers: Are Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek reuniting?
“Breaking Bad” has never been a show to really rely on much in the way of casting big names or people with past connections to cast members, and so we had to admit that when the following news first came out, we were very skeptical about it.
Nonetheless, there is some evidence now pointing to the fact that Bryan Cranston’s former “Malcolm in the Middle” co-star Jane Kaczmarek is going to be guest-starring on two season 5 episodes of the AMC hit. Episodes 11 and 12 (the third and fourth ones following the show’s return to TV this summer) are both listed on the actress’ IMDb page, and there is also the following message on Twitter from the actress about the gig:
“Yes, it’s true… I will indeed be on #BreakingBad. Can’t wait for you all to see it. Congrats to @BryanCranston for his win [at the SAG Awards] tonight.”
Just in case you want some more evidence, Kaczmarek also is featured alongside Cranston and Dean Norris in this picture posted recently on Norris’ own Twitter. There was a rumor for some time that she was there just on a visit, so on that basis we are going to wait to confirm this casting until AMC makes it official. Sometimes, it’s better to be cautious with something like this even in spite of all the evidence.
“Breaking Bad” only has a few episodes left to shoot in New Mexico before the series finale, and the show will return to AMC this summer. In case you have to not hear already, the network is planning to air a live aftershow similar to “Talking Dead” entitled “Talking Bad,” and it could feature everything from interviews to analysis and fan interaction.
If this casting proves to be legit, do you like a little “Malcolm and the Middle” reunion on your “Breaking Bad”? If you want to see some of what Anna Gunn is saying about the final season of the show, you can do so over at the link here.

Update: The Huffington Post is reporting that the actress was just on hand to shoot a DVD extra … which still does not explain why she is listed on IMDb as appearing in two episodes.
