Kim Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner gets Bethenny Frankel-esque talk show test run

You may love or hate the Kardashians; but regardless, you better get ready for the prospect of seeing even more of them on TV heading into the rest of the year.

On Monday, it was announced that Kim Kardashian’s famous mom / manager Kris Jenner has landed a test run this summer of a daytime talk show entitled “Kris,” which will of course talk about popular topics from entertainment to wellness and of course being a mother to some of the most famous daughters (plus a son) in the world of reality TV. The deal for Kris is very similar to what Bethenny Frankel had with her “Bethenny” show on Fox this past summer: she appeared on a number of stations owned by the network for several weeks, and they used the numbers from this to make an official decision. Since putting someone as polarizing as Jenner on daytime TV is a gamble, it is understandable that the network would want to use the same strategy here.

In a statement, here is what Jenner had to say:

“This is something I have wanted to do all my life so it’s definitely a dream come true! I can’t wait for this new adventure to begin.”

You have to believe that Jenner will likely use her talk show to interview some of her own family members, but what is often forgot here in the midst of all the negative tabloid headlines about the family is that the Kardashians are one of the most well-connected clans in TV. Everyone from Kylie Jenner on up has some very famous friends, and all of them could be potential guests for the show.
