‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Sarah Chalke scrubs in
While she had a major part on “Roseanne,” Sarah Chalke to us will always be best known as Dr. Reed on “Scrubs.” So with this in mind, we rather appreciate getting the opportunity to see her back in a fictional hospital yet again.
According to a brand-new report that is coming in for us via TVLine, Chalke is set to guest-star on an upcoming season 9 episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” though on this occasion it is unclear just whether or not she is going to be playing a patient or a doctor. Our personal preference for the sake of irony is that she will be a patient, and she has to deal with some of the same sort of insanity that she put some of her own patients through on the long-running comedy series.
To us, the “Grey’s Anatomy” cameo for Chalke is rather ironic considering that the show (or at least narrator J.D.) was not always complimentary of them at times, and even insinuated that they basically just took their concept and made it dramatic. It was all in good fun, though, and one of our personal favorite digs at the show can be found in the video below.
This announcement is really exceptional timing for Chalke, who has a new series coming on ABC this spring in “How To Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life).” In appearing on one of the network’s most-popular shows right around the same time, it’s a great opportunity to have people remember who she is, and then navigate over to her new show when it premieres following “Modern Family.”
