ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: An American horror story all its own

CastleIs “Castle” about to take a page from “American Horror Story: Asylum”? That may be a stretch, but there is still plenty to be excited about when it comes to the next episode of the ABC drama series.

According to a new report from SpoilerTV, the upcoming 17th episode of the ABC show is going to carry with it the title of “Scared to Death,” and will revolve largely around a serial killer known as Nigel Murphy who is locked up in  Ledgeworth Asylum. Really, if you combine the aforementioned Ryan Murphy show (coincidence on the last name given the setting?) and “The Following,” you may have the perfect inspiration behind the sort of mystery that we are going to see here.

Given that “Castle” is a repeat on Monday night, this episode is likely not going to air until March at the earliest … which also means that it will happen after Castle has an opportunity to meet his father (played by James Brolin) in the two-part episode that takes place in February. Nonetheless, good things come to those who wait, and the premise does a great job of at least making us excited to see an episode at a time of year when we often see a drop-off after the network sweeps.

The next episode of “Castle” that will air is entitled “Recoil,” and this one will be significant in that it features the return of Jack Coleman as Senator Bracken, the man who is responsible for the death of Beckett’s mother. This installment should allow her the much-desired opportunity to get a little bit of justice back for her family, and capture a man who she knows is a guilty party.

Luckily, we also have some more news to share about the February two-partner; all you have to do is visit the link here to read the quotes of great interest from Jon Huertas.
