‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Meet the governor’s daughter and more
As you may have heard about already, there will be a governor featured on the sixth season of “True Blood,” though we have thankfully not received any sort of indication that it will be the sort of governor that is anywhere close to what we have seen recently on “The Walking Dead.”
However, we’re ultimately not really here so much to talk about the governor as we are someone who is a key part of his family: the daughter. According to some new casting announcements coming in from multiple sources, former “90210” actress Amelia Rose Blaire has scored a recurring gig on the show, where she is set to play the daughter of this aforementioned man in Louisiana politics (played by Arliss Howard).
So what makes this governor so special when it comes to the show and Bon Temps? The answer is that his wife ended up running away in order to be with a vampire, and it is pretty easy to see that he is not exactly going to have the best relationship known to man with anything that sports a set of fangs. However, that does not mean that Blaire’s character feels the same way.
Meanwhile, Jurnee Smollett of “Friday Night Lights” fame has also scored a recurring gig on the show as Nicole, who is a smart, optimistic young woman who has yet to experience any real hardship in life … which probably means that she will be in for a rude awakening at some point on this show soon.
