‘Private Practice’ series finale spoilers: Watch a wedding-themed sneak peek

In just a few short days, the moment will finally be here: the series finale of “Private Practice,” and the wedding for Addison and Jake. But is the bride actually going to walk down the aisle? For the time being, that is the question that showrunner Shonda Rhimes is ever-so-craftily hiding from us.

Judging on the first sneak peek from the episode that we have seen below, there are certainly a number of reasons to doubt that the big day is going to be happening. Addison clearly seems to be having the wedding-day jitters, and despite everything that she has went through over the years in love and with Jake (which includes him making sure that the adoption went through during this past episode), she doesn’t know whether or not she can go through it.

Luckily, someone shows up midway through the clip who may end up being her knight in shining armor: Audra McDonald’s Naomi Bennett, who says that a late flight in to California nearly kept her from making it to the nuptials on time. However, she ended up making it there just in time, and she did a great job reassuring Addison that this was a wedding she indeed wanted to go through.

Based on the fact that Naomi and the bridal party all shows up at the altar, we have a feeling that the big wedding will ultimately be a go. We don’t know if this will lead for sure to Addison’s happily ever after, but it at least puts her on the road to a future that she can be happy with in the long-term.
