‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 10 review: Love and anarchy
On Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9, we saw the tying together of some loose ends related to relationships, the opening of other doors, and a tragedy that we are pretty sure will be felt in the hearts of some people for some time.
With all of the chaos that happened with Adele Webber being in the hospital and a “Sons of Anarchy”-like crew coming in to the hospital following an emergency, Bailey briefly forgot about the wedding … though she did eventually make it to the altar, and she and Ben are now married. The same good news goes for Owen and Cristina, who decided that they wanted to be together, but divorced. As for Callie and Arizona, they did get some steps closer to a physical relationship, but Arizona’s behavior in the hotel room proved that she is not exactly there fully just yet where she can actually have a sexual relationship once again.
While we are pretty sure there are some bad things coming up for the new Bonnie & Clyde of the show in Alex and Jo, the one thing that we will be digesting for a while now is that Adele is no longer among the living. This was a tragedy that was in many ways important to Richard moving forward in his life, though it still came with a great deal of pain. Personally, we are just happy that he still was handed an opportunity to have some sort of proper goodbye to her, and that she remembered him in that moment.
Meanwhile, there is one thing that should be permanently banned from TV at this point: people saying that they aren’t going to hook up, only for them to start making out instead. Really? This is the oldest cliche out there, and we really don’t care about this Jackson-with-an-intern storyline. (Strangely, we are a little more intrigued by Shane and April, mostly because he is so averse to the idea.)

Somehow I found this episode to be the worst of the entire series. Over sentimental, mostly predictable and that background syrupy song at the end – really not my cup of tea. But, heck, in a series with this much staying power, I will keep on watching. Next week’s episode looks to be much better.
