‘The Walking Dead’ season 3: New poster promises war between Rick and the Governor
We still have a bit of a wait until “The Walking Dead” season 3 returns to AMC (February 10th), but that hasn’t stopped the network from hyping up the second half of the season with tons of spoilers, news and artwork.
A new poster for “The Walking Dead” has been released by AMC and it features the Governor with his one eye showing and the other eye covered in a bloody patch as well as half of Rick’s face showing only one of his eyes as well. The caption for the poster is “an eye for an eye” which is interesting since it was Michonne that not only killed the Governor’s daughter Penny, but also took his eye and she is not really part of Rick’s crew, she’s a loner. One thing is clear from the new artwork and that is the Governor is going to be targeting Rick and company as the people responsible for ruining his town of Woodbury and he will be out for blood.
So who will come out victorious in the war? Even though the Governor has the numbers, our money is on Rick and his team. The Governor is pushing this battle forward on pure rage and while he has a few soldiers amongst his town, most of the people are not fighters, they are just surviving – also he’s lost Merle who was a great asset to him as far as fighters go and he may have lost Andrea as well now that she knows more about him. Rick on the other hand has lost his mind a little making him even more fearless then he was before. Rick also has the prison working in his favor, making it difficult for the Governor to actually reach him and giving Rick time to plan things out.
“The Walking Dead” season 3 returns to AMC on Sunday, February 10th at 9 p.m. so be sure to tune in and see just how bad the war between the Governor and Rick will get.
