‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: A new case, and more relationship conflict
Ready for the return of “Bones” to TV? Well, you are unfortunately going to be waiting for nine more days until the hit Fox series returns to continue season 8, but we do know at least some more details about the cases that are going to be coming up in the near future.
First things first, let’s talk about one of the more unusual investigations that Booth and Brennan have been charged with solving: one that may very well involve “The People’s Court.” This news was first reported by TVLine, and it does not make it clear whether or not the characters are going to be visiting the real syndicated TV show, or a creation on the show that brings to life the same sort of courtroom drama over small-claims disputes that we have seen there for many years.
On a completely different note, we also do know that there will be a storyline moving forward that really forces Sweets and Daisy to open up about their relationship together; and while this is in no way anything close to a reassurance that the two could be getting together again at any point in the near future, it at least sets the two down the right path again. Here is what executive producer Stephen Nathan had to say on this very subject:
“They’re both nervous about seeing each other … And they do confront each other [about the split].”
The good news for “Bones” fans is that immediately upon the show returning, we are going to see a rare example of back-to-back new episodes on one night. One of the reasons of that is to make sure that the episode count lines up perfectly with “The Following,” the new Kevin Bacon series that will premiere on Fox the following week.
