‘Justified’ season 4 spoilers: Going beyond the first two episodes
Remember when we shared a look at the first two episodes of “Justified” season 4? You can head over to the link here to take a look at them if you haven’t already, as we are now set to begin talk about the third episode in the much-loved FX series’ fourth season, which should be airing on January 22 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The title of this episode (in “Truth and Consequences”) is rather ominous from the get-go, and we certainly feel that way even more now that we have heard the official description in full, which suggests that both Raylan and Boyd both could be in some form of serious trouble moving forward:
“Drew Thompson’s widow turns up and gets Raylan in hot water with the FBI, while Boyd’s strike at the snake church is met with a surprising strike back. Written by Benjamin Cavell; directed by Jon Avnet.”
The one good thing about this episode just based on the description alone is that like another show in “Dexter,” “Justified” is working at its best when Raylan is in some sort of hot water. Of course, the difference here is that he is not acting out as a serial killer, even if he does still have a pretty nasty habit of killing people.
Raylan’s primary story for this season is going to be about uncovering a mystery that is decades in the making, but this synopsis does not really give us much of anything when it comes to hints on that subject. Morever, it also does not explain anything about his evolving relationship with Lindsey.
