On Thursday night in Great Britain, the cast of the new season of “Celebrity Big Brother” was officially unveiled, and based on what we are seeing from this gang already, we have a feeling that this will be both a hoot and a practice of patience at the same time.
Let’s start things off by talking about the negatives here, with the primary one being that we have no idea who a good many of these people are. (Granted, we also do not love in the United Kingdom.) Rylan Clark is the biggest star for us courtesy of his recent role on “The X Factor” UK, and we also figure that he is personable enough to be a very entertaining player for however long that he is in the house. (At the moment, he’s even our pick to win given his popularity.)
However, as Americans we are admittedly more than familiar with the trainwreck known as Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. These two are continuing their tradition here of doing just about anything and everything that they can in order to obtain attention, and this including going on the short-lived U.S. version of “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here” a few years ago, only to quit, re-join the show, and then quit again. Heidi’s also been flip-flopping over the years about whether or not she regrets having a staggering ten plastic surgery procedures within the span of a single day, which has made her both a tabloid fixture and a bizarre sort of science experiment at the same time.
