‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: More on Leonard, Alex, and Regina King
There is so much to be excited about when it comes to Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” but outside of the usual when it comes to the hit sitcom, what has us truly shouting “bazinga” from within the nearest ball bit is the opportunity to see one of our favorite sorts of TV episodes: when characters make something far more complicated than it needs to be, and thus set off a massive chain of events that end up causing things to spiral out of control.
When Leonard and Sheldon are at the center of the storm, and romance is involved between some ladies in their lives, it’s hard to really be surprised here. We’ve already told you that Thursday night’s new episode will feature trouble as Leonard’s assistant Alex tries to come on to him, and now executive producer Steven Molaro adds to TVLine that is is actually Sheldon’s involvement in this messy situation that leads to him talking to a woman played by “Southland” star Regina King:
“[Sheldon] tries to manage this situation and makes it way worse and finds himself talking to the folks at human resources at the university … I don’t mind telling you that the scenes with Regina and Sheldon and the cast are unbelievably funny. That episode, I can’t wait for it to air.”
What we are really interested in finding out at this point is this: is there any way that Alex actually stays in the employ of Sheldon by the end of the episode? If she feels violated in any way, or if Sheldon is tired of the trouble that she has caused him, odds are she would float along somewhere else. Then again, far stranger things have happened on this show (including Sheldon actually finding someone perfect for him to begin with in Amy).
