‘Shahs of Sunset’ season 2, episode 4 review: Did Reza take things too far?
After watching Reza and MJ’s epic fight at the office last week, we weren’t sure what to expect from this week’s episode of the “Shahs of Sunset” – would MJ and Reza be able to patch things up or is this friendship damaged beyond repair?
If you were hoping to see these two work things out and salvage their 20 year friendship this week you were completely out of luck. MJ went to the office space that she shares with Reza and removed all of her essentials for work and tried to make an office at her home, so that she could avoid working in a toxic environment. Unfortunately wine + Ikea instructions = disaster.
Reza still isn’t sure if he wants to take the next step in his relationship with Adam (commitment), so he went out with a friend to a gay bar and partied all night with randoms. As much as we love seeing the carefree side of Reza, we also desperately want to see him in a loving, committed relationship, because seeing Reza in love is something fans really want for him, especially right now while he’s not talking to his pseudo wife MJ.
Mike had two difficult talks – one with his parents, where he told them that he’s leaving commercial real estate to work in residential real estate with Reza (they were not supportive) and the other was with GG where he tried to tell her that the group is afraid of her and is starting to move away from being friends with her. Watching Mike talk to GG was like watching someone put a wildfire out with their face – it was painful, but something that needed to be done. GG walked away from the conversation and we didn’t see her for the rest of the episode.
We also met Asa’s boyfriend, who no one knew existed until this episode, but she has been dating for years. Why has her man been a secret? Well she’s dating Jermaine Jackson’s son and besides the fact that he is from a very famous family, Asa explained that because he’s not Persian people may react negatively towards them.
Later, the entire group (minus GG) met up at a bar and after MJ exchanges a few barbs with Lilly about what the other woman is wearing, Reza decided to make it known that MJ’s attitude sucks. He stood up on a chair and started talking about his favorite people at the party and after he exclude MJ from his speech (on purpose), she quietly left the bar. Sammy (from season 1) tried to tell Reza that he took things too far and that he needs to fix his relationship with MJ, but he says that Sammy should know both sides before making judgement.
What did you think of this week’s episode of the “Shahs of Sunset”? Did you think that Reza took things too far when the group was at the bar, or do you think it was something that MJ needed to hear? Were you upset to see that GG was barely in the episode? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
