‘Modern Family’ preview: Jay takes on Billy Dee Williams in poker game

With new episodes of “Modern Family” being off the air until the New Year we don’t have much to keep us laughing into the holidays (except for reruns of “Modern Family” of course), so we thought that we’d bring you a sneak peek of what’s coming up in the New Year when “Modern Family” returns to ABC.

The next new episode will revolve around New Years as Jay Pritchett and Phil Dunphy unite their families to ring in 2013 in Palm Springs on a fun holiday filled with cheer, laughter and of course a little bit of drama.  According to TVLine, Jay will find himself sitting at a poker table across from Star Wars vet Billy Dee Williams along with “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” star Lainie Kazan. How did Jay end up at this star studded poker game? That we don’t know, but what we can see from the new press photo released for the upcoming episode is that Jay is clearly cleaning their clocks at poker and no one looks to happy about the situation.

“Modern Family” won’t be returning to ABC until Monday, January 9th (airing at 9 p.m.), so there’s still a few weeks left to wait for a new episode, but the network will still be airing reruns of the hit comedy so you’ll still be able to get a chuckle in throughout the holidays.
