‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Heather Dubrow to grace ‘Malibu Country’

Heather DubrowWe have already nominated Heather Dubrow as one of the Best Reality Stars of 2012; and now, the actress is crossing back over into the world of scripted television.

According to a new press release, the famous face from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is set to appear in an episode of ABC’s “Malibu Country” in January, where she will be playing the part of Brooke, who is a good friend of Reba’s next-door neighbor Kim (played by sitcom superstar Sara Rue). If you want to hear more about the actual storyline for the episode, here is the official synopsis:

“Reba finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she says some unkind things about Kim – not knowing that the camera is rolling – and tries to pin the blame on Kim’s friend Brooke.”

This is a role for Dubrow that should at least be somewhat familiar to her, especially given that the world of “The Real Housewives” is pretty much all about dealing with drama brought on by your co-stars, including multiple accusations that turn out to not even be remotely true. However, it’s presented here in a much more comedic light (though that is not to say that the Bravo series was completely devoid of comedic moments).

Dubrow is set to return to “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for the show’s eighth season, which should premiere at some point in the spring and feature her trying to balance some of her acting work along with being a mother, a wife, and someone who tries to give back.

What do you think about Dubrow’s casting here? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can also check out the other nominees for Best Reality Star over here.
