‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Iwan Rheon dances around Ramsay Snow
Is “Misfits” star Iwan Rheon playing Ramsay Snow on “Game of Thrones” season 3? Based on all of the information that we have seen over the past several weeks, that is very likely the case. (The only thing we are waiting on at the moment is confirmation from HBO themselves.)
One thing we can say at the moment, however, is that you should certainly not expect to get any sort of official word on the role just yet from the actor himself. Rheon recently gave a video interview with Red Carpet News (which you can see below), and in it he delicately works his way around the question as to whether or not he is going to take on the famed character, who is best described with the word “ruthless,” from the popular George R.R. Martin series.
It is seeing Rheon speak out that helps to make us feel a little bit better, though, after what has undoubtedly been a difficult past few hours for the show. For whatever reasons, “Game of Thrones” season 2 was snubbed by the Golden Globes despite it being infinitely better than the show the first time around, and even Peter Dinklage failed to get any love for playing Tyrion, a character who was much more prominent on the show this season compared to the first. Maybe this is just more proof of what Kurt Sutter from “Sons of Anarchy” wrote on Wednesday, that often shows perceived as “entertainment” do not get the sort of awards-show respect as “art” that they deserve.
Even if Rheon is not saying it, are you excited to see what he brings to the Snow character? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can check out some more words from another “Game of Thrones” season 3 character over here.
