‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Notes from the Night’s Watch

Kit HarringtonDo you want to hear another “Game of Thrones” actor speak out on season 3? Well, we now have this very thing coming to us now courtesy of a man responsible for leading the Night’s Watch.

Speaking as a part of a new interview with Flicks in the City (who have interviewed a good many actors from the HBO show) below, you can see actor James Cosmo speak out a little bit about what it is like for him to play a part in Jeor Mormont who is in many ways essential to the early development of one of the show’s most-popular characters in Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow. In particular, he opened up about whether or not he used the material in the George R.R. Martin books in order to establish more backstory for himself, or he tried to rely more on just what was presented for him in the script:

“You almost have to cut way a bit of it and work with the script that you have … It’s great to read a bit of it, so you know where the guy is coming from … It’s fascinating. Not often do you get that from a television situation, where there is so much to go from.”

Cosmo would not share any specific details about the season 3 plot, but like so many actors before him (plus what we know already about the third book in Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series), he promised some big things will be coming our way:

“I think it’s going to be a terrific season; I think it’s going to be the best yet because things really kick off … It’s going to be very exciting and surprising.”

What are you the most excited to see this coming season? If you want to read some similar sort of “Game of Thrones” season 3 scoop courtesy of Emilia Clarke, you can do so by checking out the story here.
