‘The Carrie Diaries’ preview: New promo promises adventure for Carrie

There has been a lot of hype around the new CW prequel to “Sex and the City” called “The Carrie Diaries”, but will the hype really live up to the legend?

Trying to create a prequel to something as popular as the “Sex and the City” series is tough in and of itself , but throw in the fact that the new series won’t be sticking to the per-existing history that has already been created for the lead character in Carrie Bradshaw and you might end up with a lot of angry “Sex and the City” fans. It’s likely that fans of the original HBO series won’t be watching “The Carrie Diaries” outside of the premiere (just to see what direction they are taking Carrie Bradshaw’s back story), so it’s interesting that the marketing is directed towards that group of people even though the show itself looks like it’s geared towards girls in their early teens.

Regardless of whether or not the new CW series stands a fighting chance with so much pressure surrounding it, the network is continuing to hype up the show like crazy, releasing tons of press photos and new promos for the January 14th premiere and speaking of new promos there is a brand new preview of “The Carrie Diaries” below if you’re interested in seeing just what the show will have to offer fans.
