‘Gossip Girl’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Chuck and Dan’s respective missions

With there only being two episodes left on “Gossip Girl,” the producers have a lot of content to jam into just an hour and a half of TV (excluding commercials, of course). So what is some of this going to include? Based on what one of the writers and an executive producer are saying about “The Revengers,” the focus is going to be in some ways all about the boys.

In a new video released by The CW (which you can see over here), EP Sara Goodman (along with writer Natalie Krinsky) had the following to say about how one Chuck Bass is finally going to have the motivation and the support now from his friends to take down a not-so-dear ol’ dad:

“Chuck feels like he is going to have this ammunition to bring his father down … He’s been fighting this battle alone, and everyone is going to come together in some unexpected ways to help.”

 Meanwhile, there was another valuable question raised when it comes to Penn Badgley’s character of Dan Humphrey, who has done a fantastic job alienating all of his friends along with an ex in Serena over some comments that he published in a certain tell-all book that he released through Vanity Fair:

“Is Dan going to be able to get back in everyone’s good graces, or is he just going to remain the lonely boy forever?”

Based on what we are hearing about already when it comes to the series finale, at least one person will be able to secure the happy ending that they so desire. But will this be true for both Dan and Chuck? Only time will tell.
