‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 8 preview: Brad ‘edits stuff, too’

Just in case you for whatever reason have not had enough of Joe Manganiello on Monday night’s “How I Met Your Mother” just yet, we have yet another sneak peek now designed with one sole purpose in mind: getting you to have the biggest smile on your face imaginable … at least if you like watching the “True Blood” star swim around shirtless in a polluted lake.

In one of Brad’s newest strategies in order to defeat Marshall (Jason Segel) in a court case representing a massive pharmaceutical firm, he apparently decided that one of the best ways to impress the female jury was to demonstrate to them that the so-called “polluted lake” that Marshall’s environmental firm was trying to shut down was hardly polluted at all. After all, if it was safe enough for him to swim around in without a shirt on, it would be safe for just about anyone. Granted, we think that his abs did so much of the talking here that it did not really matter at all just what came out of Brad’s mouth.

So what is going to be Marshall’s counterattack now that it is more clear than ever that his back is pressed firmly up against the wall? For the time being, this is still a mystery since all of the videos so far have faced on his double-crossing former law school buddy. The only real plea he may be able to make against Brad’s emotion and “spin” is to sound honest, and to try and show everyone that there are facts that prove that the pollution being put into this lake is dangerous. But how much will facts stand a chance here? As of right now, we’re starting to think the jury may be akin to Karl Rove on election night.
