‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 7 preview: The elephant in the room

At the end of the last new “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode over a week ago, a rather interesting suggestion was made by the legal team working through the aftermath of the deadly plane crash: rather than trying to go after the airline or the people working on board the plane for damages, the doctors may actually be better suited to try and take money away from Seattle Grace over anywhere else.

But is this move going to cause tension? For the time being, it at least looks as though the doctors are doing everything that they can to smooth things over. In the latest sneak peek for Thursday night’s new episode (which you can see below), Owen gives a rather passionate speech to everyone with a clear message to go along with it: it should be business as usual at the hospital.

In addition to that, Owen also tries in the sneak peek to get everyone to make sure that Arizona feels welcome upon her first day back to the hospital, but he is quickly interrupted here by Callie, who has some rather succinct advice of her own: it’s really better to just treat Jessica Capshaw’s doctor normally, since right now the primary source of her paranoia is feeling as though everyone is watching her at every turn, and waiting to say something special and sugar-coated about how amazing she is doing following the crash. Sometimes, normalcy is the best medicine.
