ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: The latest teaser from Kerry Washington
It’s been a while since we last checked in with “Scandal” season 2, but based on what Kerry Washington is saying now, there is still plenty coming up to be excited about (or to even potentially dread, if you are worried about the tone of her quote). Sadly, there was no new episode Thursday courtesy of the Thanksgiving holiday, but Olivia Pope and company will come roaring back in just six short days.
Now, let’s get back to that tease. Speaking as a part of a new interview with E! News, here is the cryptic message from Kerry that should be a reason for both a little bit of excitement, but also a great deal of trepidation:
“I so am not allowed to say anything. But I will tell you things get more and more complicated. Much, much more complicated … I’m a little bit scared of what’s happening on our show. All of us. The whole cast is scared.”
How scared should we be for Olivia? Right now, the best analogy may just be that we are holding our breath, and hoping that somewhere along the line Shonda Rhimes does not make us hold it for too much longer. Out of all of her shows, “Scandal” is the most complicated in that we are not dealing with issues so black-and-white as we often have in “Grey’s Anatomy,” where someone either lives or dies. Here, you have people who you can destroy emotionally in a time of crisis, and there is really no turning back when you end up making a move that leads to dire consequences (especially when someone like Fritz is involved).
