‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: First look at ‘Run, Baby, Run’

Who’s ready for a wedding on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9? Luckily, we’re going to be in for something pretty exciting when the episode “Run Baby Run” airs on Thursday, December 13, and not all of it is going to be limited strictly to Chandra Wilson’s Bailey walking down the aisle with Ben.

ABC has just released their new press release for the episode, and the one thing that is especially surprising about it from our perspective is that despite there still being a couple of episodes to go on the show until we come to this, a number of familiar storylines (including Derek’s hand injury) are still going to be playing out as though they are brand-new:

“As the rest of the doctors prepare for Bailey’s wedding, Richard helps her through a bout of pre-wedding jitters. Meanwhile, Lizzie butts heads with Meredith, and Callie and Jackson try to convince Derek to participate in a risky surgery that could fix his hand.”

As for what else we know about this episode at the moment, Loretta Devine is going to be returning for her Emmy-winning role of Richard’s wife Adele, while Neve Cambell will be making an appearance as one of Derek’s sisters, who has to this point remained unseen. This will likely be the last episode of 2012 for the show, which to us only means one thing: we are likely to be in for some big surprises, as well as some sort of cliffhanger to keep us excited about what could be coming up at Seattle Grace in the new year.
