‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5, episode 12 preview: Damon Pope’s promise
Just in case you were starting to forget about Damon Pope’s impact on “Sons of Anarchy” season 5, get ready to expect Harold Perrineau’s character to come roaring back in a big way on next Tuesday’s new episode “Darthy.” How much so? Let’s just say that if Jax does not do what he wants, he can more or less expect his entire family to be taken from him.
So what is it that Pope wants? If you think back to early this season, then it should not be hard to figure out that he is still looking to destroy Tig over everything that happened during season 4. However, this poses an interesting decision for Jax to make: does he do the safe thing for his family and turn him in, or does he opt instead to take a gamble in order to emerge from the man’s shadow?
As if dealing with the likes of this was not bad enough (and it is indeed pretty bad), there is another issue here to deal with: the division that is forming throughout SAMCRO. A battle between Jax and Clay is brewing like never before, and everyone within the motorcycle club is going to have to make a choice between the new road and the old way. If there were no surprises here … let’s just say that this would not be “Sons of Anarchy” at all.
“Darthy” is the penultimate episode of season 5, so we better be ready by the time it ends to have the stage set for an epic finale. Considering the genius / mad scientist that is Kurt Sutter, you can surely expect that things will wrap up here with a bang … or several bangs, if you want to follow up on the gun analogy for a few minutes.
What do you think is going to transpire here?
