NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4 spoilers: An important finale hint
If you were for whatever reason worried that “Community” was not going to get its full 13-episode order for season 4, don’t be: based on what we are hearing now, the Greendale gang will once again be back for more antics moving forward.
According to a report that is coming in now via TVLine, the rumors floating around the internet about the finale can now be put to rest. Is it true that this season (and possible series) ender was the 11th episode of the season filmed? Yes, but it will not be the 11th one to air. This change was due to scheduling reasons with studio 20th Century Fox, and was not some last-minute move by NBC to undercut our beloved show any more than they already have. After all, it’s still a long, long wait until the February 7 premiere.
As for what else is going to be coming up this season, here is just a taste of what you can expect: a premiere themed around “The Hunger Games,” yet another Halloween special (as producers originally thought it would air in time for the holiday), an episode about Shirley’s family, an “Inspector Spacetime” convention, and Jeff Winger meeting his much-maligned father. There is going to be quite a bit crammed into these 13 episodes, and hopefully it will be enough to make this both worth our way and worth our while Sadly, chances of a season 5 are slim thanks to not only the long layoff between new episodes, but also the impact of creator Dan Harmon and the fact that NBC has put the show once again up against “The Big Bang Theory.”
