ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Cats, codes, and sneak peeks
There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a hostage situation, especially when this hostage situation forces you to deal with annoying people who are too busy worrying over themselves to actually stop and help you. This is something that will happen at least at first during Monday night’s new “Castle” season 5 episode, as both Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters are going to deal with a woman who is far too concerned over her lock phone to actually both with the fact that the people on the other line are being chased by a killer.
But before we get to that, let’s backtrack a little bit. Castle and Beckett discover a victim that leads them down a vast angle of conspiracy, as they investigate the strange death of a priest that “Castle” thinks is somehow straight out of “The Da Vinci Code.” Somehow, this leads to them becoming trapped with a man for an extended period of time … one where they find the phone in question, and also start to experience quite a bit of friction.
After all, there is one other talking point that we have failed to mention thus far: that Castle and Beckett are in the middle of a heated argument over something that almost every couple goes through at some point: meeting potential in-laws. Castle’s mother ends up meeting Beckett’s dad, and it is more than fair to say that there is a personality clash that happens as a result. The fight carries over to the hostage situation, and even the hostage himself is uncomfortable by it.
