‘The Amazing Race 21’ preview: Passport dilemmas and ankle injuries
Are there two teams with worse luck on “The Amazing Race 21” than people with the name “James”? For an example of this, just take a look at just some of what is coming up during Sunday night’s new episode.
First things first, you already know that James & Abba are going to be in some big trouble after the cab driver in Russia decided to take off with their passports. For these guys, this is really going to be an impossible mission: how do you find one cab in a sea of thousands in the city? Moscow is no tiny place when it comes to population, but it also covers a huge amount of land. Their only hope, really, is that the driver either turned it in to his superiors, or that he brought it to an American embassy. They may still have a shot at staying, though, if for no other reason than that Josh & Brent and Abbie & Ryan are still so far behind.
However, these guys are not the only ones in a surprising amount of trouble this week, as we learn something new about Jaymes & James this week: James suffered an ankle injury all the way back in China, and he has been nursing it slowly back to health over the past few legs. Unfortunately, doing a Russian dance is going to completely destroy that. The guy is clearly in a ton of pain, and it makes us wonder why in the world they chose this as a detour. Did they not think it would be as difficult as it was?
What do you think: do both of these “James” teams have a good shot at advancing to the next leg?
