‘The Walking Dead’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Rick’s strategy session

You would think that after Rick has been through already on “The Walking Dead” season 3, that he at some point would like to slow things down a little bit. However, we are quickly learning that is just not this guy’s style by any stretch of the imagination.

In the latest sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new episode (entitled “Hounded”), you can see him already trying to clear out a chamber of bodies that has a pretty personal connection to him considering Lori’s death … but he wants to do it himself rather than have help from Glenn, Daryl, or anyone else. While he tells the gang about his intentions now, some of the other folks within his prison camp are plotting their next move: getting more ammo for themselves, which means leaving the prison temporarily and finding a place where they can pick up more bullets. When you are on this show, you know what that means: the odds of running into some more walkers are pretty high.

After spending most of last week focused on Woodbury, this episode should give us a greater understanding about Rick’s mental state in a post-Lori world … though it is also important to remember that he is not the only person at the moment who is suffering some sort of great loss. T-Dog is also no longer among the living, and the mystery surrounding Carol is still waiting to be solved. This mystery is one that should be at a conclusion before the survivors leave the prison (or so we hope).

Are you shocked in any way by the way Rick is handling this at the moment?
