‘Jersey Shore’ season 6: Angelina Pivarnick upset over ‘Restore the Shore’ snub
Angelina Pivarnick has not been featured on “Jersey Shore “since the second season (save for a brief cameo earlier this year at a club), but somehow, she is still finding a way to get involved in stories related to the MTV show. Thankfully, at least this time we are talking about an event that is actually for a good cause: the “Restore the Shore” special that is airing on the network Thursday night.
According to TMZ, Angelina is upset because she reached out to show producers and the network multiple times expressing her interest in participating in the Hurricane Sandy relief benefit that is actually airing live, but was turned away without much attention given to her every time. What’s the reason fpr that? According to Angelina herself, producers are just continuing a trend of being nasty to her when there is not often a reason for them to be:
“I remain uninvited to participate … even after attempts to contact the organizers by my management team … [It’s a] sore reminder of how I have been treated in the past. This is a time where they should suck it up and stand on one side of the room and let me be there. I am very hurt by this.”
Really, there is still one major issue to consider here when it comes to why producers may be over having Angelina on the show in any sort of major role: she quit midway through both seasons that she appeared on after getting into some nasty fights. Even if you argue that she is trying to grab publicity with these comments, it may actually be a good thing for the network. Why? It’s yet another way for them to get this special out there in the press, which in turn may help boost donations to another level.
During the special MTV is asking viewers to donate at their official site, and some select donors will even receive a phone call from a cast member of “Jersey Shore,” “Awkward,” or “Teen Wolf.”
Even if you don’t agree with Angelina’s message, do you think that this is a case of any publicity being good publicity? We want to hear from you below!
