As we near the upcoming Miss Mystic Falls Pageant’s return on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4, there continues to be one question that is worth asking: is there any way at all that producers can replicate the stunning dance number between Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that took place back in season 1. This is a moment that people really started to fall in love with this pairing, as we saw a new side to Damon versus his “bad boy” image, and this was also back when there was still an air of mystery around the vampires thanks in part to not everyone being one of them.
So what are the plans this time around? Speaking in a new interview with E! News, executive producer Julie Plec said the following about just where the story for this episode could be heading:
“[The episode] gets us back to a little bit of romance and good Mystic Falls events at their finest and it evokes a memory of Season 1, very deliberately, of what was going on in the triangle back then.”
What does this translate to mean? Basically, we anticipate Elena continuing to be confused by her feelings for both Stefan and his brother, especially as she is starting to change thanks to the training that Damon has given her on how to be a better vampire. Strangely, we know already that this will not be the only love triangle that is in motion during the episode, and if you are a fan of Caroline and Klaus, this story should really rise to the top of your must-read list.
What couple do you think will be impacted more by this Miss Mystic Falls Pageant?
