‘Jersey Shore’ season 6: MTV stars to give phone calls during ‘Restore the Shore’
Do you want to get a phone call from Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Pauly D, or even one of the stars from “Awkward”? If so, MTV is giving you an opportunity to do so during their “Restore the Shore” special benefiting Architecture for Humanity that is airing on Thursday night.
How are the donations going to work? Basically, it is going to run a little bit differently than some old-school telethons that you have been accustomed to seeing in the past. Rather than sharing a phone number where viewers can call in with their donations, the cable network is encouraging donors instead to visit their actual site with their contributions. From there, select stars from “Jersey Shore,” “Teen Wolf,” or “Awkward” may call you up to say thanks for helping to give to the cause.
In addition to this, anyone who donates $25 or more will receive a bundle of songs that are featured regularly on “Jersey Shore,” which is still in the process of airing its sixth and final season. Many Seaside Heights hotspots (including the amusement park and a couple of eateries featured on the show) are completely destroyed following Hurricane Sandy, whereas the famous Shore Store is still standing, even though it is badly damaged. The house where the castmates lived for their four seasons in Seaside was relatively unharmed, but the thing to remember here is that as bad as the devastation was in Seaside, this is just one of many communities in the Barrier Islands region of New Jersey that was hurt badly by the storms tearing through the area.
Do you think that phone calls are a great way to encourage people to call in an make some contributions?

If one of these stars donated a fraction of their salaries to ‘restore the shore’ they would have enough money easily. I dont see them donating any money.
