‘Arrow’ spoilers: Meet a mysterious new character

As if the action on “Arrow” was not already exciting enough, we now have another character entering the fold who could be either a valuable ally to Oliver Queen during the second half of this season, or a formidable foe depending on what pans out.

According to a report from SpoilerTV, the character that is currentlly being cast goes by the name of Halloway, and he works as some sort of Black Ops Agent for the CIA. What’s interesting about this here? It’s mostly that this sort of agent can go either way when it comes to being good or evil; after all, there are plenty of rogue agents out there who could be capable of causing all sorts of havoc. On the flip side, maybe this is just a really tough guy who, like Diggle, is still fighting on the side of good. (Of course, it’s also possible that he could be a sort of double agent wrapped in ambiguity.)

There are already an enormous cast of villains who have been made official for the show, including the upcoming appearance of Firefly and a character who will be based on Vertigo in the comic, but will go by a different name. This is already an impressive cast, and it will surely get more impressive as we near the end of what has already been confirmed to be a 22-episode season. So long as the show continues to have such impressive ratings, a season 2 may as well be confirmed before the finale even airs.

What do you think about this character based on what we know now?
