‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: The finale title is…

The title for the “Sons of Anarchy” season 5 finale is now online, and let’s just say this when talking about it: you better have a pretty good grasp on the French language.

As STV has already astutely pointed out, the full title for this episode, which is otherwise known as 5×13, is J’ai Obtenu Cette, otherwise known as “I Got This.” Admittedly, what we personally are the most confused about with this title is why it is in French, or why “Andare Pescare” is in Latin. Why give the episodes so many different languages in their titles, especially when so few of the characters are really going to even understand what it means? The only real answer to that is that it does create discussion, such as we are doing here, versus just something written in plain English.

Now, we do have to wonder about the context of the title. Why is someone saying “I got this,” and is this meant to be some sort of responsibility being taken by one of the characters? The only real assumption that we can make from this here is that this is meant to be an inference that the character who is taking responsibility is not someone you would expect. Otherwise, there is no reason for them to make a big deal out of this at all.

Since it is still pretty impossible to really speculate too much over this for now, let’s instead share what we do know. This episode is expected to at least be 90 minutes long, and really should both tie together the stories of Nero and Damon Pope, while at the same time asking the key question if there is any possibility of them being able to return for another season. Really, it should be one wild ride.

What do you think about this title?
