‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: Brandi Glanville was joking about Yolanda Foster

Just in case anyone was trying to take what Brandi Glanville said about Yolanda Foster too seriously during Monday night’s premiere of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” our favorite lightning rod of controversy has a rather simple message for you: don’t take her comments too seriously.

After Brandi got a great deal of criticism (even from us) over promptly meeting Foster and claiming that she sleeps with pretty much everyone in town, she tried to clear the air in a Bravo blog, blaming really the entire incident and the blowup that ensued on both her dry sense of humor and the way in which the show was put together:

“I meet for the first time Yolanda Foster and my first impression was that she was STUNNING and very friendly. I tell her that her ex-husband Mohammed is a friend of mine and she says yes it is a very small town. I then (as I always do) joke that yes Beverly Hills is such a small town that everyone knows everyone and everyones slept with everyone. JOKES people.”

It’s ultimately hard to say that the situation that Brandi is describing is rather common. The show likely wanted some sort of drama with the new woman in town, and if no one was interested in creating any problems, then producers had to find a way to include some on their own. Granted, we are sure that it will not take too long at all before producers don’t have to do anything, and the ladies are producing more conflict than they really know what to do with.

Do you buy Brandi’s explanation for the comment to Yolanda coming out the way it did, and does it annoy you at times how there always has to be some sort of problem whenever there is a new person introduced to a show?
