Manifest season 2: NBC schedules catch-up viewings tonight!

Manifest

Excited for the Manifest season 2 premiere? You really should be, since it’s going to be here in just one week’s time.

If you haven’t had a chance to see any of season 1, we do come bearing some good news here — there will be an opportunity to catch up tonight, at least to a certain extent. Tonight, NBC is broadcasting starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time the series premiere, followed by the season 1 finale. While you’re not going to get all of the nuance of the series watching these two episodes alone, it’s a nice start if you are planning to check out season 2.

For some other news on Manifest in video form right now, be sure to check out our expectations for season 2 below! Once you do that, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube and then also come back soon for more coverage.

Beyond the opportunity for new viewers, we appreciate the broadcasts by NBC due, at least in part, to what they signal — a willingness from the network to ensure that they want to have Manifest on the air for as long as they can. They’re not just shoving the series off the air entirely until the premiere is back. Do we still disagree with the decision to hold it until midseason? Definitely, especially since it is such a long layoff since the season 1 finale. Our hope, though, is that there are new viewers who are eager to watch, and that the majority of the season 1 audience is interested in diving into Flight 828 once more.

If you missed it, here are some of the first details for the January 6 premiere entitled “Fasten Your Seatbelts”:

01/06/2020 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : As the Stone family reels in the aftermath of a devastating shooting, they’re hit with their most foreboding Calling yet, sending Ben on a mission to locate two Flight 828 passengers who have mysteriously gone missing. Grace grapples with her new pregnancy, the Major attempts to tighten her grip on the unwitting Saanvi, all while the clock on the lives of the 828ers continues to tick towards zero. Starring Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur and Matt Long. TV-14
