Coming up on Sunday night (or Monday on HBO), His Dark Materials episode 7 will be coming on the air. What can you expect during this? Well, consider a wide array of different things.

For starters, Lyra is going to be kicking off this episode in an oh-so-terrible spot. We don’t have to regurgitate the ending for you, but it definitely sounded as though the character was going to be isolated from the rest of the world that has helped her. Yet, she won’t stay that way forever. Lee is going to do everything that he can in order to ensure that he finds her — at least once he recognizes that she could be alive — and that’s without even factoring in Iorek.

At the moment, there is one thing that is going to be crystal-clear here — the battle of the bears is coming! This is one of the more exciting moments that we’ve got this season, mostly because we get to see an excellent battle that shows you the more of what bears can do in this universe.

Then, consider a couple of other things — we’ll have a chance within this episode to learn more about Mrs. Coulter’s next move after the disaster at the facility, and then there will also be more of Will Parry’s story and journey towards eventually being a big part of the show in season 2. This is a character who wasn’t featured in the source material, but what we’re getting here at the moment is some clear evidence that the writers are building up this story and sending it off in all sorts of other cool directions.

There are only two episodes to go now until the end of the season, so know this — things are only going to get more crazy from here on out.
