The Voice results: Did Kat Hammock or Rose Short make finale?

The Voice season 17

Tonight’s The Voice results are the most important of the entire season — after all, the final four is selected! This is a tedious show given that there are only four people advancing to the final round and we’re losing a lot of great people all at one time.

Let’s start things off here, though, by going through the people who are for sure safe for another week. Katie Kadan, Jake Hoot, and Ricky Duran were all given the chance to move forward without having to fight for the save. No surprise there, and that means that one of the three of them will probably get a chance to win the whole season. Kat Hammock, Hello Sunday, and Rose Short competed for the save — while one of them will have a chance to be in the finale, their chances of winning don’t feel altogether high.

Out of the three singers who performed, we’re going to side with Rose as the best by a mile — Hello Sunday had a few pitchy harmonies, and while Kat Hammock did a nice job with her song, it was a little bit forgettable compared to Rose coming out and just stealing the souls out of everyone in the room.

The moment that we saw most of America interested in keeping Rose around, we were relieved — no offense to the competition, but she was by far the best and has continued to be the best through the rest of the season. She deserved this opportunity and we’re happy that she at least has another chance to show what she can do.
