Crisis on Infinite Earths: Did Lucifer star Tom Ellis really appear?
Well, maybe he was there to celebrate a birthday … but also celebrate playing Lucifer. While there were a number of cool cameos over the course of the crossover’s first three parts, this was one of the coolest as Lucifer and John Constantine reunited. The two characters have an off-screen history that apparently has a thing or two to do with Maze, and that led to John asking Lucifer a favor on behalf of Mia when it comes to Oliver Queen. There’s a lot of powerful stuff ahead for Oliver in the final parts, and the same goes for many other characters, as well.
With that, we bring to you one of the biggest surprises of said crossover — seeing John Wesley Shipp’s version of The Flash die as opposed to Barry Allen’s! The prophecy is true in that a version of The Flash died. It just wasn’t one played by Grant Gustin. In general, we’d say that one possible criticism of the crossover is that they are eradicating a lot of famous superheroes from the past. We saw this happen with The Flash, and we also saw the demise of Brandon Routh’s version of Superman courtesy of Lex Luthor, who is gearing up now to be one of the most powerful versions of himself that we’ve seen.
In general, the stage is set for an exceptional final two parts of the crossover, but we gotta say that what we saw tonight is going to make us very anxious over the next few weeks. Why did they have to make us wait this long?
Meanwhile, Lucifer season 5 starring Ellis is going to be premiering on Netflix at some point in 2020.
